Ingredients you'll need to make Strawberry Mousse
This recipe is divided into two easy steps - strawberry compote and the mousse. A compote is nothing but a cooked mixture of whole fruit and sugar to result in a jam-like texture.
- Strawberries - Thoroughly washed and cut into small chunks
- Sugar - I have used regular white sugar. I don’t recommend swapping it with anything else as white granulated sugar blends beautifully with strawberries to make a thick compote.
- Water - Just a little bit to help the sugar melt easily
- Lemon zest - Gives the compote a nice zing. Although it’s optional, I highly recommend subtracting it
- Non-Dairy Whipping surf - I use a store-bought non-dairy whipping cream. But you can use anything that’s hands misogynist to you.
